Introduction The unstoppable algorithmic transformation of financial services has seen the financial technology (FinTech) industry surge from the sidelines to the mainstream1. FinTech is broadly defined as a permanent technology revolution that is changing the way we do finance2.

This is a collaborative project exploring how AI and machine learning impact financial services customers. The project is fully-funded by a Northern Ireland DfE CAST studentship, worth approximately £28,000 per annum gross.
